I want to start off by saying I am a woman and I am marrying a beautiful woman!! No one asked "Will you marry me?!?" We just knew we wanted to marry one another.. And we have finally set a date. 10/11/12.. At first we were thinking on our anniversary (7/4/08) 7/4/12 but there was some people that knew that and took our date so we wanted the day to be OUR day and not share it with someone we know..
So now that we know the date and everything... I'm starting to slowly realize the stress of planning a wedding on no money what so ever!! I have been looking for the dresses and thinking of the ideas and it's hard when you don't really have money or anyone able to really help because everyone is having a hard time right now.. We have a place that is going to be free of charge!! And I have found a dress for 50.00.. Well I can't even seem to make time to be able to try on the dress to see if it's me or not.. Maybe it's more of Dawns style than mine.. Then there is I want my family and friends more than anything to just be there for us and to have them on my side.. Reality is.. It's not possible because of the economy and distance.. I'm 2,000 miles away from home.. It's hard but I know they'd be here if they could be.. It'd just be nice to have at least a friend or family member on my side to look at dresses with or pick stuff for the wedding out with you know.. Oh well that's life as we know it for now!
Anyways I'm so excited to be marrying my best friend and life partner!! We've had our ups and downs as any other couple does.. But it's pretty amazing to know no matter what Dawn is by my side 100% as am I for her.. If anyone in the Putnam County NY area knows of anyone willing to offer their help or time on the wedding to two girls who don't have money would be amazing! Rather they are fresh out of college and want to do the photography, bake a cake, or even donate anything would be a big help.
